I walked along the beach one day and found a treasure chest. I was happy for this time to be alone. I have always felt gifted in my senses. I feel in touch with creation, my spirit, and God. As I walked, I was captivated by a picturesque sky. I tuned into the sound of the crashing waves. I inhaled the clean, crisp smell of the ocean. I could taste the salt water. My toes tingled in the texture of the sand. The warmth from the sun engulfed my body. From a distance, the sun's reflection created tiny prisms that seemed to dance on the water. As I walked, I felt free as a bird. My thoughts went to my loved ones. I felt pleasure and pride. I felt blessed; I wanted to share this precious moment with everyone...
I thought I'm here right now because of connection; In God's creation, I see perfection. Sometimes I get lost along the way; Emotions and dependencies cause me to stray. I feel out of control sometimes in the mix; My peace of mind's interrupted with things I can't fix. I may have insecurities, worries, and fears; Those thoughts can overwhelm me and bring me to tears. The actions of others, at times, bring me down; But there is so much beauty, if I just look around. I can complicate my thoughts with details, at length; In my thoughts alone I can find weakness or strength. Negative thinking upsets me, my emotions are proof; Repeated over and over until my thoughts become my truth. Being upset with bad thoughts, separate me from my power; From getting the most out of my life in this very hour. It's all up to me if I am willing to try; To make the conscious decision to laugh or to cry. If constantly feeling tested won't allow me to rest; My lesson is knowing I am the test. There is a message right here where I stand; God is beside me holding my hand. If I can paint a picture by looking at the sky; I can see life through the windows of my eyes. If I can hear the sound effects from the current of the water; I can control my thoughts to sing like Mother Nature's daughter. If I can smell an ocean breeze and make it clean and fresh; I can change my thoughts instantly while taking a deep breath. If my tastebuds can determine the distinction of the ocean's salt; I can decide what's good for me...I choose positive, loving thoughts. If I can experience a feeling from standing in the sand; I'll reach for you without need...being free to hold your hand. If the sunshine warms my body and brightens up my day; I can shine throughout my life, whatever comes my way. If tiny prisms are an illusion, a visual I've enhanced; I'll reflect the mirror image of God with a spirit that wants to dance. If I can imagine flying with a sensation of feeling free; There's no limit to the way I feel and who I want to be. I've prospered from all who love me, misfortune has been my school; I'll see God's creation as my diploma, unconditional love as my rule. I'll relate to positive thinking, it's my desire as I begin; My life has come full circle to find the miracle is my spirit within. Love and gratitude are reminders of my passion and my grace; I pray to be humble and patient, my biggest connection is faith. I'm part of all creation, it's how I decide to connect; With peace, love, and harmony to think and feel my best. I have the ability to apply my thoughts and make them my beliefs; With visions created from thought alone, my thoughts can make me complete. I'll savor precious moments, they are always in my reach; One is here right now in front of me as I walk along the beach. Inner peace and love allow my soul to feel pleasure; They are the keys that unlock the door to my treasure. My life is the treasure map with nature's beauty all around; As I walked along the beach that day, I realized, I am the treasure chest I found.
